Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta has clarified that rumors have been spread by the media that he is going to the US.
Making his statement public on Friday through social media Facebook, Minister Gupta has claimed that he has not initiated the process of going abroad.
'At the Ministry of Youth and Sports, we receive invitations from various countries and abroad to participate in programs and whether we go or not depends on our time and luck,' he asked, 'Today, we saw in the news that going abroad was canceled. The visa has not been processed, how was it canceled??'
He said that publishing news without checking the truth and facts does not benefit the country and society. 'Unfounded accusations, exaggerated comments and news that are spread without going into the depth of the content, without checking the truth and facts, and distorting the facts do not benefit the society or the country. In democracy and freedom of speech, the search for vigilance and accountability with critical awareness is as beautiful as it is ugly and immoral to make unsubstantiated and unnecessary accusations and deliberate persecution,' Minister Gupta wrote.
Meanwhile, the Non-Resident Nepali Association has apologized in the case involving Youth and Sports Minister Ballu Gupta. The apology was made saying that there was no coordination among the Non-Resident Nepali Associations, which resulted in different statements being issued on the same letter pad.
