Nepal Police has opened the recruitment application for the election police that will be deployed under its jurisdiction for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
There has been a huge rush of people applying for the election police since office hours on Friday. The application deadline is set for 1 Magh. 
The Armed Police Force is also preparing to open applications for the election police in a few days. The government is mobilizing about 337,000 security personnel for election security.
This includes the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and National Investigation Department, and the government is preparing to deploy about 150,000 'election police' (field police) for a period of 40 days.
