He, who is said to be close to party president Gurung in recent times, has also openly stood in favor of a special general convention.
Congress Gandaki Province Joint General Secretary and Madhya Nepal Municipality Chief Ramesh Kumar Pandey, who has been claiming to be neutral, is also in support of the special general convention. General convention representatives abroad Jeevan Kumar Shrestha, Sukmaya Gurung and Lalit Kumar Gurung have also sent their signatures in support of the special general convention.
Both regional presidents of Lamjung, party presidents of 4 municipalities and 3 rural municipalities out of 8 local levels have come out in favor of the special general convention.
