Nepali Communist Party (formerly CPN-Maoist) leader and Madhesh Provincial Assembly member Rahawar Ansari has resigned from the party.
Ansari resigned on Thursday while addressing NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal. He mentioned in his resignation letter that the party has abandoned courage, honesty and risk and that he cannot be a part of this contradiction.
He also included a Hindi poem in his letter addressed to Dahal.

The resignation letter says, 'This song now remains only in your memory. The party has abandoned courage, honesty and risk. I cannot be a part of this contradiction. With this realization, I take leave of the party membership saying, Long live the socialist revolution. '
Ansari had won from Parsa 1 (1) in the 2079 provincial assembly elections from the Maoist Center. Earlier, he was a mayoral candidate in Birgunj Metropolitan City.
