The government has made a provision in law for the age limit for appointment to any public post and there is a provision for retirement at the age of 65 in the Supreme Court and Constitutional Commissions, but the writ petition has claimed that Member-Secretary Sharma of the Pashupati Area Development Fund has completed 70 years of age.
The writ petition has demanded that an interim order be issued to restrain him from working, claiming that a person who has completed 70 years of age cannot be the Member-Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Fund.
