Three people have died in a bus accident that occurred in the foothills of Shankharapur Municipality-3, Kathmandu, on Wednesday evening.

Three people died in the accident, said SP Naresh Raj Subedi, Information Officer of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office. According to him, only 55-year-old Shanti Gupta has been identified among the deceased. 

The Mahanagar Yatayat bus, registered as Ba 4 Kha 8788, was returning from a picnic to Sankhu from Jarsingpauwa when it fell about 100 meters off the road. All the people were rescued from the spot and sent to various hospitals.
