The temporary recruits will be provided with salary, uniform and other service facilities as per the basic salary scale of the police and armed police personnel. Ration facilities will be provided as per the rate of the concerned district. The expenses for ration, monthly salary and uniform will be provided to the bank account of the concerned person. In addition, Rs. 846 per person will be given as preparation expenses for coming and going after the temporary selection, and Rs. 1,200 will be given as a lump sum for 4 days of lunch.

It is mentioned that the clothing allowance will vary according to the Himalayas, the hills and the Terai/Madhes. The Nepal Police will be provided with blue dangri clothes and a cap. In the case of election police deployed under the armed forces, they should have clothes and caps that match the uniforms of the armed forces.

The recruitment criteria state that there will be an election police selection and appointment committee under the coordination of the Chief District Officer of the concerned district.

For selection, applications can be submitted to the District Police Office and in the case of the armed forces, to the armed forces' battalion/colonel in the district. The criteria state that the selection method for both the police forces will be determined based on the curriculum of their respective soldiers. People between the ages of 18 and 54 can apply for recruitment.

Criteria have been made to give priority to former security personnel, former forest guards, former security personnel from all three security agencies (Nepali Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police) who have applied for various posts by mid-December and passed the physical fitness and health tests, and retired security personnel from the past temporary police and security agencies of foreign countries.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs Anand Kafle informed that the criteria for recruitment of election police have been approved and sent to both police headquarters. It is said that now both agencies will determine the curriculum and proceed with the recruitment and selection process.
