Police have arrested six people involved in printing fake currency notes. Police have recovered 93 fake currency notes of Rs 1,000 from them.
A police team deployed from the District Police Range, Kathmandu and Police Circle, Boudha, arrested them in coordination with the District Police Office, Bara.
The police arrested them from Attarkhel Chowk, Gokarneshwor Municipality-8, Kathmandu. According to the police, those arrested include Gauri Shankar Yadav of Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City-2, Kabalpur, Bara, and Indian citizen Rabi Kumar Srivastava. According to the police, Rabi Kumar had brought counterfeit machines and other materials to Nepal from India.
The police have been granted a seven-day remand from the Kathmandu District Court to keep the arrested persons in custody and conduct investigation.
