As the partial influence of the westerly wind continues, fog and mist have affected normal life in most places in the Terai region. The Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasting Division has stated that it has been partially cloudy in some provinces.
Thick fog and mist have affected most places in the Terai Madhesh. The cold has caused more problems for children, students, workers, the poor, the disabled and senior citizens. Locals in places where the cold has increased have not been able to step out of their homes. Shops and markets that open in the morning are also opening late. As the cold has increased in the evening, the markets have become deserted.
Ram Prasad Tharu of Nepalgunj 16 said that driving vehicles is also difficult due to the freezing cold.
