The inquiry commission formed to ascertain the truth behind the incidents that took place during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24 has prepared to issue a letter to the then Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli for a statement.

Speaking to media persons after a discussion with Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Singha Durbar on Thursday, Commission Chairman Gauri Bahadur Karki gave this response.

He said that Prime Minister Karki had inquired about the progress of the work and that he had informed him. He also informed that a month has been extended and that he is preparing to submit the report to the government within the same period.

Chairman Karki also said that the statement of Congress leader and then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has been completed.

‘There was a discussion about the progress of the work. A month has been extended. We will submit it within that period. Ramesh Lekhak’s statement has been completed. We are in the process of calling Oliji. If he does not come, tomorrow’s matter will be decided tomorrow. We are writing a letter to him,’ he said.
