A long traffic jam has occurred in Daunne due to slippery road conditions on the Butwal-Narayangadh road section, which is under expansion.

On Sunday, a vehicle was jammed on the west Nawalparasi side due to a breakdown, and then since Monday morning, the road was slippery and vehicles could not climb uphill, causing a long jam.

Passengers have been suffering due to having to sit in the jam for a long time in Sheetlahar. Although vehicles coming from the west to the east have been allowed to operate, they have been stopped towards Bardaghat due to the high risk. It now takes 5/6 hours to cross the 14-kilometer section of Daunne.

There is a jam up to Bhumahi in the west and up to Arunkhola in the east.
