Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Shishir Khanal has said that efforts to reconcile Kulman Ghising, who is also the leader of the Ujjaya Nepal Party, have not yet been completed.

He said that before the 7-point agreement was reached with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah, efforts were made to take Ghising along with him even late at night. He said, ‘We are in informal talks. The matter of taking him along has not been finalized.’

He said that the 7-point agreement is now pending for approval from the party level and that the process has now begun. He said, ‘Now there is the final pressure of selecting a proportional candidate. The only thing is whether to do it after completing that work or before that.’ He said that a central committee meeting will be convened to approve the agreement and when it will happen, and a discussion will probably be held today.

He said that the agreement reached before the Jhismise on Sunday has excited them and that they are receiving good responses from inside and outside the country. He said, ‘It has made them very excited. Especially friends abroad are welcoming it, saying that they will come to vote.’ He described the latest agreement as the most important moment in history and said that their efforts to strengthen alternative political forces have moved forward. He said, "The responsibility of carrying out the Gen-G rebellion and advancing alternative politics has fallen on our shoulders."
