The Council of Ministers meeting held on Friday approved the Nepal Citizenship (Fourth Amendment) Regulations, 2082. According to government spokesperson Jagdish Kharel, the decision has been taken to amend the Nepal Citizenship Regulations.
Spokesperson and Minister Kharel said, 'It has been decided to approve the Nepal Citizenship (Fourth Amendment) Regulations, 2082.' Apart from this, the government has declared Poush 15 of every year as National Mushroom Day. 'It has been decided to celebrate Poush 15 of every year as National Mushroom Day,' he said.
The government has also decided to 'approve the organizational structure and staffing levels of the bodies under the Ministry of Home Affairs.' Similarly, it has been decided to establish area administration offices in 9 different places in the country. These places include Sirijanga in Taplejung, Dho in Dolpa, Khatyad in Mugu, Raskot in Kalikot, Kolti in Bajura, BPnagar in Doti, Gokuleswor in Darchula, Melauli in Baitadi and Hidanagadhi in Sankhuwasabha.'
The cabinet meeting has also decided to revoke the Directive on Sending Trainee Workers to Japan under the 'GITCO' between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Japan, 2066.
The government has also decided to appoint Joint Secretary Kamal Prasad Bhattarai as the Chief Secretary of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Madhesh Province on a permanent basis.
