The Kathmandu District Administration has stated that permission was not granted for today's protest after they came to seek permission this morning.
The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has stated that the Gen-G group led by Miraj Dhungana has not been given permission to protest.
Assistant Chief District Officer and Information Officer Mukti Ram Rijal informed that permission was not given to Dhungana's team, which reached the District Administration Office, Kathmandu at 10 am on the day of the protest.
'They had come to the administration today for today's protest. There is also a process for permission. It is not a matter of getting permission for a protest just because someone wants it,' Rijal said, 'It is a matter of giving permission after discussing with the security mechanism and others. We have said not to do it today. If you do not comply, the administration will act according to the law.'
Dhungana is running a campaign to eat. The protest of the Gen-G group was said to be held at Maitighar from 11 am on Monday.
The police have removed some protesters of Miraj Dhungana's Gen-G group from the Maitighar Mandala area for protesting without permission. The protesters have raised slogans saying that the police intervened in the process.
