Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane has asked Prime Minister Sushila Karki to use all her strength to hold the upcoming elections scheduled for Falgun 21.
Lamichhane, who reached Baluwatar on Sunday evening to meet Prime Minister Karki, also informed that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has fully launched the election. According to Prime Minister Karki's press coordinator Ram Rawal, leaders including RSS President Lamichhane had emphasized that the government's activities should be focused on the election. According to Rawal, President Lamichhane had said, 'The election should be held on time. There may be many excuses and conflicts from various parties to prevent the election from being held, and the government should be alert to this. The country will suffer if the transition period is prolonged.' Rawal informed that President Lamichhane told Prime Minister Karki that he felt that the RSS had launched the election and that other political parties were also moving towards it. 'We have launched the election in full swing. The closed list of candidates for the proportional representation has almost been finalized. The faces of the candidates have become clear. Seeing that other parties are also selecting candidates, I believe that they are preparing internally,' Lamichhane had said. Lamichhane said that since the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) wants elections and the government is saying that it will hold elections, now it is time to bring an atmosphere of elections in the country.
According to the Prime Minister's Press Coordinator Rawal, Lamichhane was also interested in the status of the implementation of the agreement between the government and Gen-G. He also asked whether the government was aware of the injuries. Lamichhane had also suggested that the government should be prepared to hold elections by taking the Election Commission and security agencies into confidence and providing adequate resources to these mechanisms.
Rawal informed that RSS General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti had said that only elections can create an atmosphere of peace in the country. 'We want peace, only peaceful elections can do that.' "The transition period should not be prolonged," said Rawal. After listening to the words of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Lamichhane and other leaders, Prime Minister Karki said that her focus was only on completing the elections announced for Falgun 21. According to Press Coordinator Rawal, Prime Minister Karki said, "The only thing that comes to mind is that I wish I could have washed my hands and gone home after the elections on Falgun 21. You should also participate in the elections. We will make efforts from our side to take other parties into confidence and participate in the elections, please participate from your side as well."
Along with Prime Minister Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel participated in the meeting on behalf of the government. On behalf of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), President Lamichhane was accompanied by Vice President DP Aryal, Swarnim Wagle, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, Secretariat member Sobita Gautam, and others.
