Indian security personnel in uniform have entered Nepal at Dhobini in Parsa.

Village Municipality Chairman Madan Prasad Chauhan said that the locals stopped the security personnel on Friday after they arrived in an Indian police vehicle. According to him, the police deployed in the border area had entered Ward No. 5.

‘It is understood that they came to arrest someone, I was also outside that day,’ Chauhan told Kantipur, ‘Later, the Nepal Police settled the matter.’

In a video released by the local residents, the Indian police officer can be heard asking, ‘What did you come to Nepal to do?’

Parsa Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal said that he was not aware of the Indian security personnel entering in uniform. ‘I had heard that they came in plain clothes, and I understand that the police sent them in coordination,’ he said.

Indian security personnel have entered the Nepal-India border area in uniform and with weapons before. In the past, they have even been taken under control by the residents of the border area. However, they are handed over to the Indian side without any action.
