Minister Ghising, while conducting on-site monitoring, instructed contractors and government agency employees to inform the government of any deficiencies and complete the work on time.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Kulman Ghising has inspected the model headquarters sites of Daunne and East Nawalparasi of the under-construction Butwal-Narayangadh road section and directed to complete the work within the stipulated time.
After public complaints about the delay in the work of both these projects, which are a high priority for the Government of Nepal, Minister Ghising has instructed the contractors and government employees to inform the government about the shortcomings and complete the work on time.
The work was delayed when the DPR and tree felling order for the model headquarters of East Nawalparasi, which was laid with pomp and show by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on April 20, 2019, did not arrive on time. Even after that, the contractor has been delaying the work citing various reasons, and the government is forced to rent the office.
Inspecting the model headquarters, Minister Ghising has instructed to complete the work of the contracted building within the deadline and to complete the necessary initiatives and paperwork for the remaining work. Currently, 9 buildings are being constructed and only 35 percent of the work of the first project has been completed so far.
The work of the Butwal-Narayangadh road section project has not been completed even after the deadline was extended for the third time. Minister Ghising, who arrived during the inspection, has instructed the representatives of the contractor company to work within the extended deadline by adding manpower, saying that passengers have been suffering for many years in Daunne.
