While the Tulsipur High Court, Butwal bench, ordered the release of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane on bail, former DIG and then-director of Gorkha Media Chhabilal Joshi, who was made a co-defendant with him, will remain in detention.

The high court has ordered this, saying that Joshi's bail application was not duly filed. The order states that the high court will decide if Chhabi also files an application.

The order was made by a bench of Chief Justice Vasudev Acharya and Justice Tej Narayan Poudel. In the case of Chhabi, like Ravi, he will go to the Bhairahawa District Court and submit a bank guarantee equal to the amount he owes, and the order for his release will be processed, said the High Court's Information Officer Ram Bahadur Kunwar.

In the case of Lamichhane, he will now have to appear at the Bhairahawa District Court from the Nakkhu Prison. Kunwar said that he will be released after he submits a document stating that he is ready to pay the amount that is his responsibility. Ravi is currently in the Nakkhu Prison.
