For the 11th General Convention of the UML, Bhrikutimandap was booked only from Mangsir 25 to Poush 1. However, the problem has arisen when the General Convention has been extended by one more day than booked.
Preparations were underway for South Asia's largest furniture expo at Bhrikutimandap from tomorrow (Wednesday). Bhrikutimandap had already been booked for that. The pre-preparation work for the expo would be done between Poush 2 and 3 and the expo would be held from 4 to 6 Katte.
Businessmen from Germany, China and other countries are coming to participate in the stalls. Preparations were being made to unload the goods from tonight for that.
Khagnath Regmi, the departmental head of the Bhrikutimandap Management Department under the Social Welfare Council, said that bookings have been made for the UML general convention till today and for another program from tomorrow.
'We have heard that the voting has been postponed until Wednesday. We had already given it to others as the general convention would be held by today,' Regmi said, 'We have to decide what to do since the UML general convention has been extended.' He said that the rent for the next program has been taken from tomorrow.
Updating information about the hall, he said that the voting machines inside the hall are being moved to the square. 'Preparations are currently being made to place the voting machines inside the hall in the square,' he said, 'Preparations for the expo are being made in the hall.'
Media Space is going to organize the expo. He said that the organization organizes two-three such big events a year.
He said that a gap of one day is kept after any program to make cleaning easier. 'When we tried to keep a gap on the first day today, we added one day at the request of the UML. But the general convention has been prolonged, which has created a problem. How to manage it is being discussed.'
He said that if the UML program is held all day tomorrow, there will be a problem. "The problem arose due to the conflict over the program, and it is unclear whether the UML general convention will be held tomorrow," he said.
