Two people have died in fires in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, there have been 22 fire incidents in the last 24 hours, resulting in two deaths. Similarly, nine people have been injured in fire-related incidents.

Stating that the number of fire incidents has been increasing in recent days, the Authority's spokesperson Shanti Mahat has urged everyone to take necessary precautions.

According to her, one person died in a fire due to a gas leak in Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha, and one in Sunapati, Ramechhap. It is reported that the financial loss in those incidents is Rs 31.4 million.

There have been 22 fire incidents in the recent disaster incidents. Eight people have died in fires in the past month.
