He said, ”Even if a government is formed under the leadership of Kalyan Shrestha or Cholendra Shumsher, as is being discussed now, it will not be acceptable to everyone. Even if the incumbent Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is retained, what will we do if other groups, including Gen-G, rebel?”

Surya Prasad Dhungel, who has been active in the fields of law, constitutionalism, and human rights for a long time, has said that if the election cannot be held on the scheduled date, the Sushila Karki-led government should be given some more time to complete the election and then move towards forming a new government.
Dhungel, who recently resigned from the National Human Rights Commission, has said that the President should find a way out in such a situation. In a detailed conversation with Kantipur, he recalled the past when the first Constituent Assembly failed to pass a constitution and the then Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi was appointed as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, removing obstacles. He said, "Before this too, the President himself has provided a way out by consulting with political parties. We have been facing such crises many times." He also said that some names have been discussed recently for the management of the crisis, replacing Prime Minister Karki. He said, "Even if a government is formed under the leadership of Kalyan Shrestha or Cholendra Shumsher, as is being discussed now, it will not be acceptable to everyone. Even if the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is retained, what will happen if other groups including Gen-G rebel?" He said that even if the government is formed under his leadership, there is no alternative to elections, and it would be beneficial to give the current government some time and end the transition period quickly. Stating that there is no alternative to elections at this time, he also argued that if it is not possible within 21 Falgun, then the all-party consensus should be reached under the leadership of Sushila Karki. He said, 'The Election Commission, the party and the government seem ready for the elections now. Now the security personnel will take care of the security issue. The government will start campaigning for the elections by increasing their self-confidence and create a situation where they can vote without fear.' The only option now is elections - Surya Prasad Dhungel
He said that UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has not yet accepted the government, and that the UML is standing on two stones by going to both the restoration of the parliament and the elections. He said, 'Looking at this, will it be resolved if the court revives the parliament tomorrow? I see the risk of the problem worsening and another movement and rebellion.'
He questioned the work done by the previous parliament, saying that the Gen-G rebelled, and asked what is the point of restoring the same parliament again. He said, 'How is it acceptable that more than 70 people have died? All these things mean that Nepal will go further into conflict. Therefore, the only option now is an election and only after a fresh referendum can everyone's views be heard and addressed. Otherwise, we will have to endure one rebellion after another.'
