Human Rights Commission Chairperson Tapa Bahadur Magar has said that it is necessary to bring transitional justice to a conclusion as soon as possible.

Addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 77th International Human Rights Day, Chairman Magar said that the issue of justice and reparation for the victims of human rights violations committed during the ten-year armed conflict is a common issue for everyone.

He said that the issue of transitional justice cannot be separated when talking about Nepal's human rights. 'When talking about Nepal's human rights, the issue of transitional justice cannot be separated. The issue of justice and reparation for the victims of human rights violations committed during the ten-year armed conflict is a matter of common concern and responsibility for all of us,' he said, 'It is necessary to bring transitional justice to a conclusion as soon as possible. It is a matter of concern that the recommendations made by the Human Rights Commission to the Government of Nepal after conducting an investigation to ensure human rights justice are not implemented.'

Chairman Magar said that since the recommendations of the Commission are not implemented, victims cannot receive compensation and victims of human rights violations cannot be brought under the purview of the law, impunity has been encouraged.
