Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Dhaval Shumsher Jabra has said that an active monarchy is no longer possible in Nepal. He expressed this view at a public meeting organized by the party in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
He said that he does not agree with an active monarchy, but a constitutional monarchy is necessary in Nepal. He said that he met the king and clarified this. Jabra said, "Many friends talk about an active monarchy. We do not agree with that. Now, not an active monarchy, but a constitutional monarchy is necessary. I have also clarified this by asking the king."
He also said that they are running a campaign to establish a Sanatan Hindu kingdom, pointing out the need to form a government that includes everyone with a big heart.
