The Nepal Tourism Board has expressed deep sorrow over Singh's death. Singh, who played a significant role in the early development of Nepal's trekking and adventure tourism sector, is considered one of the pioneers of the industry.
In a condolence message released on Monday, the board highly praised Singh's visionary leadership and his continued commitment to promoting responsible trekking. The board noted that Singh's significant contribution to the conservation and promotion of Nepal's mountainous heritage was significant.
In addition, his close collaboration with various national tourism organizations, including the Board, has strengthened Nepal's tourism image and international presence, they said.
