The special court has demanded a bail of Rs 500,000 from the then director of the Civil Aviation Authority, Murari Bhandari, who is accused of corruption in the construction of a heliport in Nalinchowk, Bhaktapur.

Even if the special court pays the bail amount demanded by the special court, Bhandari will remain in the custody of the authority. 

The authority has sent him to detention because it filed a second case regarding the Pokhara Airport on Sunday, said Yagyaraj Regmi, spokesperson for the special court. The authority had filed a case against 55 people alleging corruption worth 8 billion. 

The special court has ordered the remand of Pradeep Adhikari, the director general of the heliport construction. The special court has stated that their statements in the airport case will begin from Monday.
