Saudi Arabia has issued final exit visas to repatriate 93 Nepali workers, including 73 who do not have a residence visa (Aqama) and 20 who have left their employers (Hurub).

According to the Nepali Embassy in Riyadh, Nepalis who have been granted a residence visa and a return visa for Nepalese who are in a hurry could not return home. The embassy has issued a public notice requesting all Nepali workers on the visa-granting list to return to Nepal as soon as possible.

The embassy has made separate arrangements for workers in the Dammam region. Those who have submitted the form from the Dammam region but have not received the message will have to contact the public relations officer there and get the exit visa ‘paper’.

‘If you have already received a message on your mobile phone that you have an exit visa, you do not need to go to the embassy to get the paper, as you can travel by showing the message at the airport,’ the notice states.

Stating that the exit visa process is completely free, each person will have to arrange their own air tickets to return to Nepal. The embassy has requested that you purchase air tickets only after confirming that the passport or travel document number mentioned on the exit visa matches the document you have with you.
