Prime Minister Sushila Karki has held discussions with the families of martyrs who were martyred in the Gen-G movement.
During the discussion held at Singha Durbar on Sunday, a delegation from the families of the martyrs had questioned the government about how much work had been done in line with the mandate of the movement.
The delegation led by Bhoj Bikram Thapa, not only talked about the elections, but also expressed the view that action against corruption and the immediate arrest of those who suppressed the movement should be taken, according to Prime Minister Karki's secretariat.
Similarly, the martyrs' families have also warned that the 14-point demands previously put before the government should be implemented immediately, otherwise they may go on strike again.
The discussion was attended by Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta, Chief Secretary to the Government of Nepal Suman Raj Aryal, among others.
Prime Minister Karki and Minister Gupta said that the government is serious and sincere towards the mandate of the movement and the demands of the martyrs' families.
