Two buildings with 759 beds are under construction through the Federal Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Morang, under the Ministry of Urban Development.

Minister Ghising inspected the buildings under construction and held discussions with the project management, hospital administration and construction entrepreneurs. Since the progress of the construction of the physical infrastructure of the hospital, which is directly related to the health of the people, has not been as expected, Ghising directed the concerned parties to work in three shifts by adding manpower and paying special attention to quality.

The physical progress of the construction of the 500-bed medical building of Koshi Hospital is 35 percent. A contract agreement was signed for the construction of the building in Poush 2079 for Rs 2.46 billion. The contract agreement, which was signed to complete the construction within 36 months, is expiring on Poush 12. Rs 749.8 million has been paid to the construction entrepreneurs.

Similarly, a contract agreement was signed with Raman-Bhoomi-BIPL JV in Ashar 2078 for the construction of a 259-bed building to provide ICU, surgical, and neuro services.

The physical progress of the building construction is 50 percent. The contract period, including the extension, expired last Kartik. The construction entrepreneur has submitted an application to extend the contract period. The contract amount is 388.7 million rupees. 163.1 million has been paid to the construction entrepreneur.
