Assistant Inspector (ASI) of Police (ASI) Ragani Kumari Yadav, working at the Women, Children and Senior Citizen Service Center Gaur in the District Police Office Rautahat, has been declared the best police officer in the country. During the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, the Police Headquarters selected Prasani Ragani as the best among the employees working at the Women, Children and Senior Citizen Service Centers across the country.
Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki on Sunday presented a certificate of appreciation along with Rs 40,000 to Prasani Ragani, appreciating her excellent work, remarkable contribution and inspiring role in reducing gender-based violence and providing gender-responsive police services by performing her duties in a completely professional manner.

Prasani Ragani was posted at the Area Police Office Garuda and is currently working at the District Police Office Gaur. The department has given Prasani Ragani cash and a certificate of appreciation for her excellent work in cases including domestic violence complaints, safe housing for women victims of violence, search and rescue, and reconciliation.
The head office has also presented cash and a certificate of appreciation to Prasani Ragani, Police Constable Shanta Khatri of Arghakhanchi Police Post Balkot, and Police Constable Uma Tamang of District Police Office Sindhuli during the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence. Khatri came second and received Rs 30,000 and Tamang came third and received Rs 20,000. Deputy Inspector of Police Purnima Thapa of District Police Office Syangja and Assistant Inspector of Police Sajna Prasai of Nepal Police Battalion Sunsari were given consolation prizes of Rs 10,000 each.
