The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Sushila Karki, saying that the current government does not have the only mandate to hold elections in 2082.

The RPP has put forward a demand for an all-party dialogue with the government. The RPP is demanding an all-party dialogue with former King Gyanendra Shah.

Leaders including RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden had reached Baluwatar on Saturday evening to meet Prime Minister Karki. After the meeting, RPP Chairman Lingden said, 'The current government should not only hold the election scheduled for 2084 in 2082, but also move forward with a program to solve the country's problems. It should not just postpone the problem by holding an election. The current election is not a solution to the problem. We have said that the government should convene an all-party meeting of the king, political parties, genji and other stakeholders and take the initiative to provide a long-term solution to the country.'

Similarly, the RPP has also demanded that arrangements be made for Nepali voters living abroad to vote in the upcoming Falgun 21 elections. 'Ensure that Nepalis living abroad can vote in the upcoming elections. That is possible and should be implemented,' said Lingden regarding the issues raised by the party with the Prime Minister, 'The main parties of the Gen-G movement are the families of the martyrs and the injured. Their demands should be addressed. People have been arrested and made to suffer based on their participation in the Gen-G demonstration. Those who participated in criminal activities should be arrested. But the arrests based on their participation in the demonstration should stop.'

Lingden said that he had also raised the issue of preventing Gen-G representatives from entering Singha Durbar with the Prime Minister that it was wrong.

Prime Minister Karki is holding discussions with party leaders in preparation for the elections. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryalaya and others were also present in the discussion.
