A group of youths protested against leader Basnet, who arrived in Surkhet on Tuesday morning to participate in the awareness campaign of the party's sister organization, the National Youth Union.
The sloganeering started as soon as leader Basnet reached the airport at around 9 am.
Leader Basnet, along with UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, Youth Union President Kshitiz Thebe, lawyer Bam and other leaders have reached Surkhet to address the Youth Union program organized at the District Coordination Committee hall.
The Youth Union program is underway at Jesus Hall, while sloganeering is being done in front of Birendranagar Municipality.
UML has also gathered a large group of youth, while the local administration has mobilized a large number of security personnel outside.
