Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has inspected the under-construction Integrated Check Post at Bhairahawa-Belahiya in Siddharthanagar Municipality of Rupandehi and the Border Security Force of the Armed Police Force Nepal at Danda.

He arrived here today on the eve of the provincial-level security seminar starting from Lumbini Province on Tuesday. Minister Aryal had reached Lumbini today and visited the Mayadevi Temple and inquired about the overall situation there.

During the inspection, Minister Aryal was accompanied by Home Secretary Rameshwor Dangal, Inspector General of Police of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Chief of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, Chief Investigation Officer of National Investigation Tekendra Karki, Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Chief of Provincial Police and Armed Police Force, and District Police Chief.

Chief Customs Officer Harihar Poudel informed Minister Aryal about the physical progress of the check post and the services available. The Secretariat of the Ministry of Home Affairs has informed that the physical progress of the check post has reached 79 percent and the financial progress has reached 77 percent so far.

Similarly, Minister Aryal has reached the Border Security Force of the Armed Police Force Nepal in Bhairahawa and inquired about the overall border security and situation. During that time, he has directed to create a smooth environment by being strict to control possible unwanted activities and revenue leakage on the Nepal-India border and being aware of possible harassment of Nepali citizens at the border.

Minister Aryal also directed the District Security Chief to control possible illegal trafficking and unwanted activities on the border.
