The Kathmandu District Police Complex informed through a press conference that 267 people were arrested in Kathmandu alone during the protests on 24 Bhadra.

Of the arrested, 87 have been released on bail, said SP Pawan Bhattarai of the premises. According to him, 33 have been released on bail, while 43 have been sent to remand for trial.

The police later recovered 83 firearms that were looted during the protest.

Police have said that apart from Tenzin Dawa Lama of the TOB bikers group, who came into controversy during the protest, no other person is of Tibetan origin.
