The Security Council meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. The Security Council meeting began after 3 pm on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel and other members are present in the meeting.

The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that security issues including the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives are being discussed.
