Nearly 600 vehicles belonging to the Kathmandu Traffic Police Office were burned during the Bhadra 10 protest.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, among the burned vehicles, 60 were two-wheelers and 26 were four-wheelers belonging to the traffic office.

During the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 10 and the protest on the 24th, nearly 600 vehicles inside the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office were burned.

According to the spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Superintendent of Police (SP) Naresh Raj Subedi, 60 two-wheelers and 26 four-wheelers of the traffic office were among the burnt ones. According to him, 93 two-wheelers and 2 four-wheelers of traffic police personnel were also burnt. The largest number of vehicles burnt was the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Buggy Khana. 

In addition, 356 four-wheelers of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police, including 35 that were taken into action by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, were completely burnt. 52 are missing in the traffic police's records. SP Subedi informed that 7 vehicles were partially damaged. 

In the case of insurance of the burnt vehicles, the office has facilitated the preparation of a recommendation for it, but he said that no decision has been made regarding compensation for the vehicles that were taken into action by the police. 

During the protest in the Kathmandu Valley, 63 traffic lights and 53 traffic islands were also damaged. During the protests, protesters vandalized and set fire to most offices in the Valley, destroying important documents including licenses and blue books of service recipients.
