An additional 35 Nepali citizens have arrived in Kathmandu after being deported from the US. Most of those being deported are those who were arrested while entering the US illegally via Mexico.
The police's Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau, which arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening via a chartered plane, has also conducted preliminary interrogation with them.
SSP Krishna Pangeni of the bureau says, "We have sent them with some details, but no one has filed a complaint so far." Those who will be deported are from Dang, Rukum and other districts.
Only 310 Nepali citizens have been deported since Donald Trump was elected as the US President.
