Nepal Police SSP Bishwa Adhikari has been recommended for promotion to DIG. The promotion committee meeting held on Monday recommended the officer to the post of DIG.
The officer was recommended for the vacant position after the last time Koshi Province Chief DIG Ishwar Karki was promoted to AIG.
Adhikari, who was the Kathmandu Police Chief during the Gen-G movement, was missed in his previous promotion. He was removed from the Kathmandu Police Chief on charges of suppressing the Gen-G movement. After that, the Gen-G movement inquiry commission was also investigating.
Then, the government missed Adhikari in the promotion of DIG. Although he was number one in the ranking, he was missed in the situation after the Gen-G movement.
