Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police Ishwor Karki has been recommended for promotion to Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Police.

The promotion committee meeting on Friday decided to recommend Karki for promotion to AIG.

DIG Karki is working at the Koshi Provincial Police Office, Biratnagar.

The post had fallen vacant after the previous AIG Dan Bahadur Karki was appointed as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

DIG Karki has been recommended for promotion as per Sub-rule (4) of Rule 27 of the Police Regulations, 2071 (as amended), said Promotion Committee Member Secretary and IGP Dan Bahadur Karki.
