Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anil Kumar Sinha has said that the government has called political parties for discussions to create an environment for the elections.

Minister Sinha also said that Prime Minister Sushila Karki had called the leaders to discuss the election and that responsible party leaders had participated as per the same call.

At a program organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Minister Sinha said that the Prime Minister had called the leaders of political parties to discuss the election and that no names had been named.

After UML leader Agni Kharel expressed that Prime Minister Karki had shown reluctance to discuss with top leaders of political parties, Minister Sinha said that this was not the reality. 'There are national leaders. I request the national leaders of all parties. We have never called a specific person or leader for the purpose of discussion, we have repeatedly called party leaders,' Sinha said, 'Responsible leaders from the party have come repeatedly. Leaders from different generations have come there.'

Minister Sinha said that the party chairmen and presidents did not participate. Sinha informed that the second-tier leaders had come to the discussion called by the Prime Minister. 'Apart from the highest level, there is a situation where leaders from the lower levels have come. Discussions are being held with the parties. Discussions have been held at one level. Discussions are being held individually,' he said. Minister Sinha also said that the government is taking initiatives to create an environment for elections. He said that the country should be moved forward from the current situation through elections. Similarly, Minister Sinha had claimed that the constitution did not prevent former judges from becoming ministers and MPs. He said that he became a minister after reading the constitution.
