The Supreme Court has ordered the release of Nicholas Bhusal on bail. A bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Nripadhwaj Niraula has dismissed Bhusal's custodial interrogation writ and issued a mandate to take an appropriate decision on the investigation and inquiry.

Since it does not seem to be in line with the values ​​of protection of individual freedom enshrined in the Constitution of Nepal, keeping him in custody and investigating the case solely on the basis of his expression in relation to the freedom of expression protected by the Constitution of Nepal, the court has said that the investigation should be conducted by obtaining bail or bail or keeping him on bail without affecting the credibility and effectiveness of the investigation and investigation in accordance with the legal provisions including Section 15 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 2074 BS.  The Supreme Court has left this authority to the District Court.
