The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to remove the Inspector General of Nepal Police and the Chief of Madhesh Province. The cabinet meeting led by Sushila Karki appointed Dan Bahadur Karki as the Inspector General of Police.

He will take over the responsibility after the current Inspector General of Police Chandrakuber Khapung retires.

Monday's meeting decided to promote Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Karki to Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Karki will assume the charge of Inspector General from Kartik 27.
