The situation at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj, Saptari has become tense after a newborn was injured after an LED light fell on the NICU due to an electrical short circuit. The newborn was injured on Sunday evening.
Angry relatives have reached the NICU and are protesting on the hospital premises, assaulting Acting Medical Superintendent Dr. Dilip Sah. They have also set fire to the dustbins on the hospital premises.
The baby of Rekha Yadav of Rupani Rural Municipality, who was injured in the NICU, has been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for treatment.
