The bodies of two Indian nationals, 52-year-old Jignesh Kumar Lallubhai Patel and 17-year-old Priyansha Kumari Patel, who had been missing since November 30, have been found. A team of the Armed Police Force found their bodies on Sunday afternoon. The deceased are a father and daughter, informed DSP Shailendra Thapa, spokesperson of the Armed Police Force.
They went missing from the Gyalsen Hotel in Ngisyang Rural Municipality-4 of Manang district on Kartik 30, while they were going to visit the Milarepa Monastery.
After losing contact, the hotel informed the Armed Police Force, Nepal Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang, for a search.
After the training school, Manang, conducted a search but failed to find them, on Kartik 23, a mountain rescue team deployed with rescue equipment under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Hira Bahadur GC found their bodies buried in snow about a hundred meters above the monastery. The bodies are being brought down from the scene.
