Nepal Jaycees National President Senator Thapa has been elected as the Vice President of the International Jaycees for the year 2026. Thapa, who is active in the fields of social service, youth empowerment and leadership development, has been involved in the Jaycees campaign since 2009.

Nepal Jaycees has stated that it is a matter of pride and achievement for Nepal Jaycees to be represented as the Vice President of the International Jaycees after 15 years. Nepal Jaycees was last represented as the Vice President of the International JCI in 2011.

The main objective of Junior Chamber International (JCI), known as an organization that develops leadership among active and responsible young citizens around the world, is to prepare young activists to bring about positive change in society. Founded in St. Louis, USA in 1915, this organization is currently active in more than 200 countries around the world with about 500,000 members.

Nepal Jaycees is an organization of young people between the ages of 18 and 40 established in 1965. It is said that it has been providing leadership and opportunities to its members through more than 178 local branches across the country.
