One person has died after being hit by a stone in Jajarkot. The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Jaya Bahadur Shahi of Kushe Rural Municipality-4.
Ward Chairman Nim Bahadur Shahi informed that he died after being hit by a falling stone while collecting khato in the local forest.
Locals went in search of him after he did not return home till late on Monday evening. Ward Chairman Nim Bahadur said that he was found dead. According to him, the deceased has a serious head injury. It is seen that a stone fell from above.
District Police Chief Basanta Kumar Sharma informed that a team of police inspectors went from the District Police Office after receiving the news about the incident of death due to stone. According to him, an investigation is underway into the incident.
