Kathmandu Police has arrested Nicholas Bhusal. The team from the Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, arrested him from Raniban, Gorkha Municipality-8, a few moments ago, the police said.

He is currently at the District Police Office, Gorkha.

He was on the police's wanted list. He was arrested because he was wanted for something, said SP Bharat BK of the District Police Office, Gorkha. 

He had been protesting against the government for not arresting the then Prime Minister and Home Minister who shot and killed a citizen on 23 and 24 Bhadra.

According to Valley Police Chief AIG Dan Bahadur Karki, he will be brought to Kathmandu and produced in court for further investigation. 

He was arrested on 23 Asho while he was on his way to protest at Maitighar Mandala. The police arrested him after he took part in the protest without permission, and since then he has been making harsh comments against Home Minister Aryal.

After arresting him from Maitighar Mandala, the police also tested him for drug use. During that time, when he was found to have consumed marijuana, the police sent him to a reform home. However, a few days later, he started making more violent statements.

Earlier, on 29 Mangsir 2081, for investigation  Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Ravi Lamichhane was arrested after a photo of him sleeping while in custody was taken and made public. He was arrested and a case was filed against him in court for violating the Electronic Transactions Act. He was released on bail of Rs 50,000.
