Nidhi also suspects that the two general secretaries are trying to spread confusion by saying that they have made the party a prisoner of indecision so that it will not participate in the elections.

Former Congress office bearer and establishment party leader Bimalendra Nidhi has said that the two general secretaries of the Congress, Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, have made the party a prisoner of indecision.
He has argued that he will not allow the supporters of the General Secretary to take over the party. Speaking to Kantipur, he also argued that the leadership of the party has been handed over as party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba has already given instructions not to return to active politics. Stating that participation in the elections should be given priority, he said, "There is no dispute in the party regarding the elections. We have become suspicious of some office bearers after they refused to take a decision on the election first, as it is a matter of concern to the people and the country. Aren't they trying to spread confusion by saying that they have made the party a prisoner of indecision in order not to participate in the elections?"
The meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Nepali Congress, which began on October 28, has become a prisoner of indecision over the issue of whether to hold the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress before or after the elections. Most leaders of other parties, including General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, are of the opinion that the party cannot go to the elections without changing its policy and leadership. However, the leaders of the establishment party are proposing a schedule for the general convention in the coming Baisakh, saying that preparations for the election cannot be made while the general convention is underway. Against this backdrop, he has also said that the situation will deteriorate as the general convention approaches before the election. He said, 'In the current situation, the House of Representatives must first be brought into line to bring the constitution and politics that have gone off track. To bring it, all parties must participate in the election. Time cannot be given to the general convention before the election. If you cook roti at home, you put the roti in a pan and pay attention to the end, the roti will burn. Therefore, our only focus should be on the election right now.'
He said that it would take time to prepare for the election and called the demands put forward by the general secretaries short-sighted and immature. He said, 'We are not in favor of the consequences this will bring.'
