CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who was also the then Prime Minister, has said that he did not receive sufficient information and support from security agencies during the Gen-G movement.

Oli accused the Nepali Army of not providing necessary information about the movement from the meeting held on the evening of Bhadra 22 to the briefing held on the 23rd, saying that the security agencies did not provide necessary information about the movement. Speaking on Kantipur Television's program 'Fireside', UML Chairman Oli said that doubts have been raised that the Nepali Army has not shown readiness to protect it even though it is his responsibility to protect Singha Durbar and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Stating that he is ready to help if there is an impartial investigation into the repression during the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 23, Oli said that he is ready to face action if he is found guilty. But he reiterated that he will not accept the commission formed by the Sushila Karki-led government.

Oli, who has been saying that the current government is unconstitutional, has questioned Prime Minister Karki's unwillingness to talk to him. He also accused the government of not being serious about creating an environment for elections. Oli says that the role of the Nepali Army and the President in appointing Karki as the Prime Minister is not beyond doubt.

Stating that there is no other option but to restore the House of Representatives, UML Chairman Oli has said that he is preparing for both the judicial process and street protests for that. Chairman Oli's full interview will be broadcast on the 'Fireside' program today, Monday at 9 pm. The program can also be watched on the Kantipur TV app.
