Despite the Supreme Court issuing an interim order against the interim government's decision to recall the ambassadors, the government appears adamant in calling them back to Nepal.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a letter again to summon them to Nepal and make them appear at the ministry. On Sunday, the Supreme Court had issued an interim order not to implement the decision to recall the ambassadors. After the Supreme Court stayed the implementation of the government's decision, the letter was sent to Nepal by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister level decision on Monday. In the letter written by Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Surendra Kumar Yadav, he asked them to use the air ticket issued earlier to come to Nepal and contact the ministry by the 20th. The letter was sent to come and appear at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs until further notice.

Relying on the earlier decision, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yadav reiterated that they should come on the 20th of Kartik.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Asoj 30 had decided to recall Nepali resident ambassadors to China, Germany, Malaysia, Israel, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Britain, the United States and Japan.

The government had instructed the recalled resident ambassadors to return to Nepal by 20 Kartik.

After a writ petition was filed in the Supreme Court against the decision, the court stayed the government's decision to recall the ambassadors, saying that it was not in accordance with the law and that it was not the work of a government formed for election purposes. After the Supreme Court imposed restrictions, the government has taken new measures and sent a letter to return to the ministry.

The recalled ambassadors are Krishna Prasad Oli (China), Shail Rupakheti (Germany), Dhan Prasad Pandit (Israel), Dr. Netra Prasad Timalsina (Malaysia), Ramesh Chandra Poudel (Qatar), Jung Bahadur Chauhan (Russia), Naresh Bikram Dhakal (Saudi Arabia), Sunil Nepal (Spain), Chandra Kumar Ghimire (UK), Lokdarshan Regmi (USA) and Durga Bahadur Subedi (Japan).
