Armed Police Force (APF) rescued 11 domestic tourists stranded at Besh Camp in Tilicho Lake, Ngisyang Rural Municipality-9, Manang on Saturday morning.

Earlier, it was reported that 15 tourists, including 2 Chinese citizens and 13 Nepalis, were stranded at the base camp of Tilicho Lake due to snowfall, but only 13 people, including 2 Chinese and 11 Nepalis, were found.

As soon as they were informed that they were stranded, a team of disaster management-trained security forces and medical personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang, under the command of Armed Police Superintendent Top Bahadur Dangi, went there on Friday to rescue them.

The security forces that went on foot from the Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang, were bringing 11 Nepalis to Chame on Saturday morning, said DSP Shailendra Thapa, the co-spokesperson of the Armed Police Force. Thapa said that the Chinese citizens are staying at the base camp, saying that they will complete their tour as the weather has cleared up a bit.
